Showcase Driver CLOB Support

 

Problem Statement:

The DB2 Table on iSeries has several columns with type Character Large Object (CLOB). If I use the Client Access ODBC driver, I have no problems querying this table and returning these columns in question. When I use the ShowCase driver for iSeries I get the specified ODBC error. 51004: Address in the SQLDA not valid.

Solution:

Character Large Objects (CLOB) and Binary Large Objects (BLOB) field types are not supported in Showcase Query.
