Batch Query to Temporary Storage Space Offset Error

 

Problem Statement:

When attempting to run a batch query to temporary storage, receiving error: "MCH0601 Batch job has failed with error. Space offset XXXXXX is outside the current limit for object BXXXXXX"

Solution:

This Error is generated when the results of a Query ran to Batch exceed the 16mb limit on temporary storage.
The 16mb limit is an IBM limit for User Spaces.

1. In Query go to the Run | Batch Options Menu.
2. Select the 'Results' Tab.
3. Select 'Run to Table'.
4. Specify the Collection (Library) and the name of the table you want to create and select what authority you want people to have to it.
5. Select 'OK'
6. Re-run the query.
