Archiving Reports

 

Archiving is a process in Robot Repots that stores reports. Some call this the report "retention plan."

It has three stages—online, short-term, and long-term. When the REPARCHIVE command is run, it checks archive dates and, when needed, moves reports to the next stage.

• Online archive is stored in the RBTREPLIB library as individual objects.

• Short Term archive stores the REPORTS in save files in the REPSHTRMLB library.

• Long Term moves the save files to REPLNTRMLB library and then does a SAVLIB of that library to physical or virtual tape. We clear this library after the save.
