Overview

When installing some Fortra products in a virtual environment, a static MAC address must be provided. If the MAC address changes, the current license key will become invalid and a new license will be required in order to continue using the product.

Fortra products can be installed in most virtual environments including Hyper-V, VMware, Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2, and more.

Links are provided below, to instructions on how to set a static MAC address for each of the commonly-used virtual environment solutions. If the virtual environment you are using is not listed below, please refer to the provider's own help for information on how to set a static MAC address for your installation.
