Problem:

You get error 22218 and then 22213 each time a report is emailed. The only way to resolve the errors is to exit and restart WinSpool/400 Email Report Server. Your PC is running:
  • Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6A.
  • Microsoft Outlook, which is connecting to a Netscape SMTP mail server and running while WinSpool/400 Email Report Server is running.

Solution:

There are a couple possible solutions:
  • TCP/IP in Windows 95/98/NT is running out of available ports after a period of processing. This is a potential TCP/IP stack issue with Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT. You may need to schedule a system re-boot periodically.
  • In the Settings, turn off Use SMTP Email Server and let the Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express Email Client handle all outgoing email with the MAPI email API. You can then configure Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express to send the emails via SMTP. This ensures that only one SMTP mail client is running: Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express.
