If the system designated as the new host system is not yet configured, perform the following five steps, otherwise proceed to step 2:

Add the new host as an additional record on the old host with a higher backup priority, specified as a backup system and with a valid license key.

End the product from the old host system in preparation for the MMDSTIP command.

Distribute the software using MMDSTIP.

Start the product’s TCP server again using MMSTRTCP, on each system.

Start the product on the old host. This transfers all of the product configuration data across to the new host. Proceed with step 3

If the system designated as the new host system is configured, but not yet defined as a backup system, perform the following steps:

End the product from the old host system.

Amend the new host’s record on the old host to have a higher backup priority that the old host and specify it as a backup system

Start the product on the old host. This transfers all of the product configuration data across to the new host. Proceed with step 3.

End the product for all systems from the old host.

Set the backup priorities of the old host to be higher than the new host system.

Change the data area MMCONTROL to contain the name of the new host system on all configured systems, in uppercase. For example, CHGDTAARA DTAARA(MM/MMCONTROL) VALUE('').

Start the product from the new host.
