- Install Internet Explorer 5.5 or above.
- Copy the documents to the PC hard drive. The directory paths should be:
- :\WebTitleStar\Templates\Abstract\
- :\WebTitleStar\SavedDocuments\Abstract\
- :\WebTitleStar\Templates\Closing\
- :\WebTitleStar\SavedDocuments\Closing\
- :\WebTitleStar\Templates\Title\
- :\WebTitleStar\SavedDocuments\Title\
- If you are creating abstract or title documents, install the TitleStar version of normal.dot:
- Go to Start > Search and find the file normal.dot that is on your computer.
- Remember the path to this file.
- Rename normal.dot to something like normalorig.dot.
- Copy and paste the TitleStar version of normal.dot in the same folder.
- In Internet Explorer:
- Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Internet > Custom Level.
- Under ActiveX controls and plug ins, disable Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe.
- Click OK.
- Click Trusted Sites > Sites.
- Uncheck Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.
- In Add this website to the zone, type: http://titlestar.dyndns.org:1581.
- Click Add, OK, and Close.
In Internet Options > Security, Trusted Sites should still be highlighted.
- Click Custom Level.
- Under ActiveX controls and plug ins, enable Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe.
- Click OK twice to exit the Internet Options.
- If you have Norton AntiVirus installed, open it:
- For Norton AntiVirus 2002 or higher:
- Go to Options > Script Blocking.
- Check Enable script blocking.
- Select Ask me what to do.
- Click OK.
- Close Norton AntiVirus.
- For Norton AntiVirus 2001:
- Go to Options > Script Blocking.
- Uncheck Enable script blocking.
- Click OK.
- Close Norton AntiVirus.
- In your browser, bookmark the TitleStar websites:
- Go to http://titlestar.dyndns.org:1581/scripts/titlestar/signon.asp and bookmark it as TitleStar.
- Go to http://titlestar3.rjssoftware.com:1581/scripts/titlestar/signon.asp and bookmark it as TitleStar Backup. You only use this site if there is something wrong with the RJS T1 line and you need to access the site through our back-up.
- If you have Norton AntiVirus 2002 installed, the first document that you generate will display a message from Norton AntiVirus that a script virus has been found. In the drop-down list, choose Allow this script.
The document is created, and future documents are created without Norton AntiVirus displaying messages.
Note: This option is not available in Norton AntiVirus 2001. If you want to have script blocking enabled, RJS Software strongly suggests that you upgrade to Norton AntiVirus 2002 or higher.
