The Map List window in Intermapper Remote Access displays a list of all available InterMapper servers within your organization, and displays a list of maps on each InterMapper server. Network managers have full visibility to all sites/regions, and can manage the network and diagnose problems at any site/region from any location.
Communication between the Intermapper Remote Access client and the InterMapper servers is protected using SSL encryption. Intermapper Remote Access works through VPN servers or firewalls at the remote sites as long as there are rules to allow the Intermapper Remote Access traffic through. By default Intermapper Remote Access uses port 8181.
