This article assumes Intermapper has been installed on the new server. Follow these steps to move the Intermapper Flows database to the new server:
- Stop the Flows service on both servers.
- Copy the flows.conf configuration file from its location on the old server to the correct location on the new server. See below for file locations.
- Copy the Intermapper Settings > Flows > SESSIONDB directory from old server to the equivalent location on the new server. See below for file locations. This is the default location of the Intermapper Flows database.
- Start the Flows service on the new server.
- If the path to the database on the new server is different from the path on the old server, update the path configuration on the new server to reflect the new path. You can configure the database path using the Flows Settings > Advanced window.
- Restart the Flows service on the new server.
The flows.conf file is located:
- Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\InterMapper\flows\
- Mac OS X:
/Library/Application Support/InterMapper Settings/Flows/SESSIONDB
- Linux:
/var/local/InterMapper_Settings/Flows/SESSIONDB/
By default, the Flows database directory is located:
- Windows:
C:\[InterMapper Installation Directory]\InterMapper Settings\Flows\SESSIONDB
- Mac OS X:
/Library/Application Support/InterMapper Settings/Flows/SESSIONDB
- Linux:
/var/local/InterMapper_Settings/Flows/SESSIONDB/
If you're moving Flows to a different server than Intermapper, please see the additional information in the How To topic, Installing Intermapper and Intermapper Flows on Different Servers.
