This document addresses considerations when configuring replication of a Showcase 10 using a high availability solution.

The sections below list mandatory and optional items to exclude. All other objects in the BI product libraries and IFS folders should be INCLUDED in your replication configuration.

Mandatory Items to Exclude

Based on product version, the data area (DTAARA), or user space (USRSPC) objects listed below should not be replicated. Overwriting these items will affect the proper operation of the product.

Auditing Files to Exclude

If you are using the Auditing feature, the list of files below must be excluded from replication in your high availability solution. All of these files are in the SCSERVER10 library.

Optional Items to Exclude

Any sample library included with Showcase 10 can be excluded.

  • ASCSUPPORT

No other objects in any of the Showcase product libraries are affected by the mirroring/replication process.

Note: Any user library that contains Showcase 10 view, report, and table objects should be replicated. These items are created as user space (USRSPC) objects.

IFS Items to Include

Showcase 10, Abstract, Esend and Sequel Web Interface (SWI) install System i Plugin components and various files in several folders on the IFS. These items should be INCLUDED in your replication configuration.

For Showcase 10, Esend, and SWI:

  • Operations Navigator Esen plug-in: QIBM/UserData/OpNavPlugin/ASC.ESEND.
  • All files installed in the folders: /sequel, /esend, /helpsystems, /rio,and /skyagent.
  • Any IFS directories in the - /SEQUEL/swi - path for image and icon files used in the standard Web pages created by SWI.
