To set up Batch Import Utility for WebDocs iSeries:
 
  1. Go to Start > Programs > RJS Image Server Batch > Image Server Batch Import.
  2. In Table Entry/Edit Directory Monitor List, create one or more input directories to monitor:
    • File Directory - The path to the directory to monitor. Use a drive letter or a UNC path.

      For example:

      • D:\INPUT
      • \\SERVER1\INPUT
    • Description - A description of the directory.
    • FTP Server - The FTP server host name.
    • FTP User - A valid FTP user ID.
    • FTP Password - The password for FTP User.
    • Image Server/WebDocs User - A valid WebDocs iSeries user ID.
    • Activate - Whether to start monitoring this directory.
    • Delete File - Whether to delete files after processing.
    • Move File - Whether to move files after processing.
    • Move to Directory - If you chose to move files after processing, the directory to move them to.
    • Set Read Only - Whether to set files as read-only after processing.
    • Zip File - Whether to zip files before checking in to WebDocs. 
    • Password - The password for the zip file.
  3. In Table Entry/Edit Directory Import Settings, create a directory import setting for the selected import directory:
    • File Directory - The path to the directory that you chose in step 2.
    • Include file filter - Which files in the directory to include. Use an asterix (*) as a wildcard character.

      For example:

      • To include all files, type: *.*
      • To include all files that begin with IMG, type: IMG*
      • To include all files with a TIF extension, type: *.TIF
      • To include all files that begin with IMG and have a TIF extension, type: IMG*.TIF
    • Folder Name - The WebDocs iSeries folder. Separate multiple folder levels with a slash (/). Type a blank space if you are leaving a folder level blank. Type *RDXVALUE to use the folder in the RDX file that Imaging Scan Workstation created for each document.

      For example:

      • FOLDER1/FOLDER2/FOLDER3
      • TEST/ /
      • *RDXVALUE
    • Doc Type - The WebDocs iSeries Document Type. Type *RDXVALUE to use the Document Type from the RDX file.
    • Doc Title - The WebDocs iSeries title for the document. Type text or any of the following variables:
      • *RDXVALUE - Use the title in the RDX file.
      • *PCFILEPREFIX - Use the PC file name, omitting the file extension.
      • *PCFILEDATE - Use the PC file name, omitting the file extension, and the date.
      • *NOTHING - Leave the title blank.
      • *RDXVALUE01 - *RDXVALUE10 - Use the value search-key 1-10 from the RDX file.
      • *PCFILEPREFIX1 - *PCFILEPREFIX10 - Parse the PC file prefix based on the FILE PREFIX delimiter you set in File > Settings. The default delimiter is an underscore (_).
      • *PCFILENAME - Use the entire PC file name, including the file extension.
    • Doc Index 01 - Doc Index 10 - The WebDocs iSeries search keys for the document. Type text or any of the variables listed for Doc Title. 
    • Activate - Whether to start using this entry.
    • OCR documents - Whether to perform full-text indexing on imported TIFF, PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, TXT, and RTF documents. To search this data, use the Text Search in WebDocs iSeries.  
    • Save TIFF/PDF as searchable - Whether to convert TIFFs and raster-based PDFs to searchable PDFs.

      Note: Conversion can take a long time for large documents. Only convert if you need searchable PDFs.
