Problem:

Unable to Log On to FTP Server: 0

Solution:

1. Check if the FTP Server is running:

NETSTAT
Option 3

ftp-con should appear at the top of the list.

If FTP is not running, start the FTP server with the command:

STRTCPSVR SERVER(*FTP)

2. Check whether a firewall on the Windows machine is active. If so, open port 21 or temporarily disable the firewall and try again.

3. If you are using a System Name rather than an IP Address, try the IP Address. It is possible that the System Name is not resolving, or was misspelled.
