Use the following information to set up mirroring of your Robot products.

  • If you are restoring any Robot product libraries, RBTSYSLIB must be the first library restored to the target system. Then, call RSL062 to create the required user profiles.

  • When mirroring Robot products, the product cannot be active on the target system.

  • •You must change the system name in the product database files for the following products before you can run the products on the mirrored system. Use the DISPLAY Network Attributes (DSPNETA) command to DISPLAY the target system name. Then, enter the Change System Name in Files (RSLCHGSYSN) command and specify the target system name in the Current system name field.

The following table provides detailed information for mirroring each Robot product.

Notes:

  • You cannot use mirroring as a method of performing a silent update of a product. You must perform a product update or conversion on both the production (source) and backup (target) systems.

  • You should perform a complete install, or at least a full save and restore, of the appropriate product library to the backup/target system before you start mirroring.

  • Never mirror library HSLOADMGR and HSLOADMGRW.

  • Never mirror user profiles - RBTUSER, RBTADMIN, or RBTNETPT.
