Activating Enhanced Web Security Logging Mode

 

To facilitate web security penetration testing on your Intermapper web server, an enhanced logging mode has been created. This mode allows you to specify the IP address of the client computer you want to use to attempt penetration of the Intermapper server's security. Once the new logging mode is activated, only HTTP traffic from the specified client is logged. When the mode is not active, traffic from all clients is logged.

To activate enhanced security logging mode:

1. Activate the Intermapper Telnet server.
2. Log in to the Telnet server.
3. Execute this command:
     details web [client computer IP address]

To turn off enhanced security logging mode:

• Use the same command to turn off the new logging mode.
