Netware for SAA 2.0, Netsoft router 4.14
SYMPTOM
Shortly after starting the Netsoft router version 4.14 (supplied
with Netware for SAA 2.0) and connecting to the AS400, messages
would begin appearing in the NSROUTER window "Auto-Disconnecting
system(s)."
CAUSE
The NSrouter has a feature that will disconnect the router from
the AS400 if an emulation session is not started within a
specified time period. This is useful to free up licensed
sessions that may be tied up by someone starting the NSrouter in
the Windows Startup group, and then never starting an emulation
session.
Solution:
Modify the NSROUTER.RTR (or whatever configuration file is being
used for the connection). Under the [E400RTR] section is an
entry "AutoDisconnect=60". The line may be removed entirely to
prevent the auto-disconnect or the 60 second time limit may be
changed to extend the wait period before disconnect.
