Summary

Using Sequel Web Server (SWS) in repository mode offers JDE customers features they are looking for, such as:

  • Automatic conversion of date fields into Gregorian format
  • Row and column level security
  • Accessing the JDE database will prompt them for their role and environment

A JD Edwards customer would still need to setup the JDE database using MNTHOSTF or through Viewpoint Administrator. Then, using Viewpoint repository mode, create a new view, and through File, Properties, select the JDE database. At this point, they would be prompted for their JDE credentials, role and environment.
