Problem:

New documents do not show up in the folder lists after adding them via the web browser, RJS Imaging Scan Workstation or the WebDocs web service.

No success or error messages display in the browser when this occurs.

This issue only occurs on Windows Vista Enterprise, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 operating systems, typically when the server has recently been migrated from an older operating system.

The following error message shows up in the Windows event log:

Error: Document.AddNew: 3704 - Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.Trace point:800

Solution:

  • This issue was fixed with the release of version 1.0.56
  • Upgrade to the current version of WebDocs Windows
