Backing Up and Restoring the Robot Monitor GUI Configuration

 

Quick Start

Backing up the configuration

On the PC on which you want to save the Robot Monitor configuration:

1. Open and connect to Robot Monitor.

2. Select the File menu item.

3. Select Backup/Restore Setting in the left-hand navigational pane.

4. Click Backup to a File on the screen.

   

5. Select the items you wish to save. All items are selected by default.

6. Enter the name you would like to give to the saved configuration file. The default name is 'C:\Users\ \Documents\ .msmconfig'

7. Click the Save Configuration File button. The .msmconfig file is saved to the location you have specified.

Restoring the configuration

On the PC on which you want to restore the Robot Monitor configuration:

1. Open and connect to Robot Monitor.

2. Select the File menu item.

3. Select Backup/Restore Setting in the left-hand navigational pane.

4. Click Restore from a File on the screen.

5. Find or enter the location of the backed up .msmconfig file.

   

6. Click the Load Configuration File button.

7. Select the items you wish to restore. All items are selected by default.
8. Click the Restore button. All selected items will be restored.
