Showcase Independent Auxiliary Storage Pool Support

 

Showcase version 8.00 and higher supports Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools (iASP).

Showcase 9 “supports” iASP’s, in so much as you can query data stored in libraries on an iASP.  Here are the details:

• The Showcase server MUST be installed in SYSBASE, not an iASP
• The iASP must be enabled when the data source is defined on each client PC
• The user who logs in to Showcase must have the Initial ASP defined that matches the data source in order to access libraries and files there.
