Remove a Server Patch [Video]

 

Steps

1. 1. End the Showcase Server
   lib/ENDSCSVR
2. 2. Remove the patch
   lib/RMVSCPTF
3. 3. Restart the Showcase Server*
   lib/STRSCSVR

All of these steps can be completed from within the same session.

NOTE: If the server patch was uninstalled because of a problem, then reinstall the previously working patch (if one exists) before starting the server.

Example

A ShowCase server was working fine at patch level 9.4.0.1. Server patch 9.4.0.2, but now users are encountering problems and there is a need to roll back to version 9.4.0.1.

The RMVSCPTF command will roll the server version back to 9.4.0.0 - the original version installed. You will then need to reapply server patch 9.4.0.1 in order to restore the server back to the previously-working version.
