Requirements

Stand Guard Network Security version 2.3 is currently installed.

Ability to sign on to the IBM i as QSECOFR or equivalent (*SECADM, *ALLOBJ, and authority to the ALWOBJDIF parameter on the RSTOBJ command).
Instructions

Create a temporary directory on your PC: C:\TEMP.

Download the file, CVTSG.zip, to the temporary directory. Current users can access the download from the My Downloads page. If you're a new user, you should have received an email message containing the download link. If you don't have it, contact your Bytware Regional Manager.

Unzip the file to the C:\TEMP directory.

Open a DOS window (Click Start > Run, type COMMAND, and press Enter). Then, type the following commands:

FTP, then press Enter.

OPEN, then press Enter.
-
Type your IBM i system name or IP address, then press Enter.

If necessary, type your username and password, then press Enter.
-
QUOTE RCMD CRTSAVF QGPL/CVTSG, then press Enter.
-
BIN, then press Enter.
-
PUT C:\TEMP\CTSG QGPL/CVTSG, then press Enter.
-
BYE, then press Enter.
-
Sign on to the IBM i with *ALLOBJ and *SECADM authority and run the following commands:
RSTOBJ OBJ(CVTSG) SAVLIB(QTEMP) DEV(*SAVF) RSTLIB(STANDGUARD)
CALL PGM(QTEMP/CVTSG)

Verify that StandGuard Network Security has been correctly converted to a licensed program:

Run the command: GO LICPGM.

Enter Option 10, Work with Licensed Programs.

Locate 0SG2000.
-
Confirm the status is *INSTALLED.
