Using WinSpool/400 PDF Report Converter with Adobe Acrobat Distiller

 

To use Adobe Acrobat Distiller with WinSpool/400 PDF Report Converter:

1. Unzip WSPPDF.EXE version 1.0.18 or higher to C:\Program Files\WSPPDF.
2. Create a printer port for Adobe Acrobat Distiller to write to postscript output work file C:\WSPPDF.PS:
   • In Windows 95 and 98:
     1. Go to Start > Run, type SYSEDIT, and click OK.

        System Configuration Editor opens.

     2. Find the WIN.INI file.
     3. Under the [Ports] section, add the following entry:

        [Ports]
        C:\WSPPDF.PS:=

     4. Save and close System Configuration Editor.
     5. Go to Start > Settings > Printers.
     6. Right-click Acrobat Distiller and choose Properties.
     7. Click the Details tab. 
     8. In Print to the following port, choose C:\WSPPDF.PS.
     9. Click Apply and then OK to save the settings. 
   • In Windows NT:
     1. Go to Start > Settings > Printers.
     2. Right-click Acrobat Distiller and choose Properties.
     3. Click the Ports tab. 
     4. Click Add Port.
     5. In Port Type, choose Local Port and click New Port.
     6. Enter the port name C:\WSPPDF.PS and click OK. Then click Close.
     7. Click OK to save the printer settings. 
3. In WinSpool/400 PDF Report Converter, enable Use Adobe Acrobat Distiller. 
4. Change the true-type fonts to the fonts you want. 
5. Test your set-up.
