Showcase 9 Copy and Paste Works Differently Than Previous Releases

 

Problem Statement:

Copy and paste in Showcase 9 works differently than previous Showcase releases. Unlike earlier releases the column headings are being included even when only a section of data from a column is being selected and copied.

Solution:

In Query, change the File output to omit or include the sections of the data in Query for either column headings, edit masks, and report details.

Steps to change the File Output for Query:

1. Open the ShowCase Query Application
    
2. Select Tools | Options and the Option Dialog Box will appear.
    
3. Check the boxes to Omit or Include the sections of the data in Query that you prefer when creating output from the results in Query.
    
4. After your selections are made, select 'OK'
