Q. The Apple Airport Extreme probe does not display wireless statistics, such as the number of wireless clients.
A. To obtain wireless statistics from the Airport Extreme probe, you must specify the device's read/write/configuration password as the SNMPv1/v2c community string. If you use a community string of "public", the device only reports the MIB variables from the 'system' group, and the number of wireless clients is always reported as zero.
