Q. I have an SNMP-enabled device I want to query for specific data. I have obtained the MIB for the device and imported it into InterMapper, but I don't know how to get InterMapper to use the MIB to retrieve the data.
A. Importing a MIB into InterMapper does not create a custom SNMP probe for the device. The easiest way to create a probe from a MIB is to use the "MIB Viewer" probe builder. This procedure is described in the "Using the MIB Viewer Probe Builder" Knowledge Base article
