Q. I have added an HP Procurve switch as an sFlow exporter in InterMapper Flows. I am not seeing any sFlow data displayed in the Flows window. There isn't any firewall blocking port 6343, and tcpdump captures valid sFlow v5 data arriving on the Flows server.
A. Check that another application isn't listening on port 6343 on the Flows server. We have found that trafficd.exe (an HP Procurve Management application) uses port 6343, so if the management application is installed on the same server as InterMapper Flows, there will be a conflict. You can change the default sFlow port that InterMapper Flows uses in the Flows Settings > Exporters window.
