Creating Constant from code

Hi,

Just wondering if there is a way to create/update constants from code, so that other jobs can dip into it...

The REST API does not support it.  But it would be nice if the API could interface with this and other system options.  However, it seems like using a constant as a way to share data between workflows would be a bad idea, and would go against the concept of a constant.
