  1. Would like to understand Automate Agent – MsSqlJobExec compatibility with 2019 as we saw failures in our testing.
  2. If the current version of Agent isn’t supporting 2019, when can an update be expected to support SQL Server 2019.

Hello Siva,

We will not support SQL2019 until late 4th qtr 2021 or Early 2022.  This will be released as 4.5.2, so that will be what to look for late this year early next year.

Dennis,

I understand the general release plan for 4.5.2 later this year.

Think the MsSqlJobExe is an independent utility for running MSSQL Jobs under Agent, can the utility be recompiled with 2019 SMO library and provided as patch that gives 2019 compatibility for running MSSQL jobs. we aren't looking for any other additional functionality with the Automate agent.

Dennis,

I understand the general availability plan for 4.5.2 with SQL 2019.

Based on my analysis and understanding of the MSSQLJOBEXEC utility running under Agent is an independent utility to run SQL jobs. Can the utility be compiled with 2019 reference SMO libraries and provided as patch. We aren't looking for any additional features.

Thanks

Siva

Any update on this? This remains a critical issue. It's over 16 months now. Is anyone actually working on this?
