We have Automate 11.3.1 running and we have been rather stable. However, in the past couple weeks we have noticed a drastic increase in the number of "workflow timed out" messages.

We cannot seem to identify any commonality between the occurrences. The workflows that fail are failing seemingly at random times of day and there does not seem to be a specific thing being done in any of them in common. It happens a sporadic number of times per day (but usually no more than a half a dozen).

What they do seem to have in common upon spot checking, is also completing successfully according to the Execution Events.

Here is what a typical log will look like for one of these scenarios in order:

2021-08-07 16:49:20.143  |  The condition '<condition name>' fired, and started workflow '<workflow name>'
2021-08-07 16:49:20.220  |  Workflow '<workflow name>' running...
2021-08-07 16:49:23.237  |  Workflow '<workflow name>' timed out.
2021-08-07 16:54:15.490  |  Workflow '<workflow name>' completed successfully.

For reference, our task and workflow timeouts are set to 4 hours each. As you can see above, a 5 minute task should not be hitting a timeout. Many of these tasks will run dozens of times a day with no issue. So, I am really just trying to get to the bottom of this and find out if there is some action we can take to reduce the frequency of these or identify the root cause.

Hello Josh,

If you review the windows application log for the agent running the workflows, do you find any errors regarding the agent failing?
